About Me
Bereavement Counselling in Uxbridge

About me
I am a Qualified Counsellor and although I initially trained in the Person Centred / Existential approach, clinical experience and further training has meant that I have acquired the skills to be able to offer a very flexible approach which I adapt as required by my clients in hope that their individual needs are met.
I started A.S.A.P Confidential Counselling, where the aim is to provide a safe and private space for clients to make sense of their thoughts and explore their feelings.
I have over the years established good working relationships with other professionals and organisations that regularly refer clients to me.
I am a member of the BACP, British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and as such, am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.
In addition to my Private Counselling Practice I also work for Action For Parents, where I work in Partnership with Parents (or Guardians) who have concerns over the well being, behaviour or development of a young person. Although, I provide emotional support, the fact that parents are given the opportunity to explore preconceived ideas and perceptions, not only about themselves but of the young person in their care, has proven to be beneficial and an empowering experience.
I have also worked since 2003 in the Voluntary Sector, Counselling at an Agency in Windsor and an Agency in Isleworth as well as in a Secondary school in Hounslow.
